Hi-Rice – Sustainability Concept 2025

Introduction: The vision of Hi-Rice

Agriculture is currently facing three fundamental crises:

  • Water scarcity – Rice is the thirstiest crop in the world.
  • Climate change – traditional wet rice cultivation causes enormous methane emissions.
  • Food safety – Arsenic and heavy metal contamination poses a health threat.

Hi-Rice responds to these challenges with two revolutionary, registered cultivation methods:

  • Pot Method® – Precision & Purity, ideal for seeds and small, critical soils.
  • PureSoil Method® – Scalable dry farming method with minimal water consumption and larger fields

     Pot Method® and PureSoil Method®

We produce in Thailand , and soon also in Morocco, Kosovo and Switzerland .
Our goal: the purest organic rice in the world – low in arsenic, water-saving, climate-friendly.

👉 Investor message: Hi-Rice is not a niche project, but a globally scalable model that combines health, climate and returns.

Our methods: Two pillars for the future

Pot Method® – Precision & Premium Quality

  • Insulated containers or pots → no soil contamination.
  • 95% less water consumption (LCA pre-evaluation).
  • ~90% less CO₂ emissions.
  • Arsenic <0.05 mg/kg → ideal for baby rice.
  • 4 harvests per year (instead of 1–2).

Used mainly in seed production and extreme regions (e.g. Arabia) .

PureSoil Method® – Scaling & Efficiency

  • Use of decontaminated organic soils (unfortunately now standard worldwide!)
  • Dry farming with algorithm-controlled canal irrigation (30–60 min).
  • Up to 200x less water than wet rice.
  • High yield & premium quality, ideal for large-scale production (1,000–3,000 ha).
  • Focus: Morocco, Kosovo, Thailand.

👉 Combination: Flexibility + Scalability → two pillars for sustainable growth.

Sustainability in three dimensions

1. Ecology

  • EU/CH organic standards, GlobalG.AP under development.
  • 100% organic fertilizer made from food waste and organic waste.
  • Reduction of methane emissions through dryland farming.
  • LCA certification with Eaternity in preparation.

2. Social

  • Above-average pay for farmers.
  • Hi-Rice Academy: Training in organic and water management.
  • Planned Fairtrade certification .
  • Health & Safety: no chemicals, no soil hazards.

3. Economy

  • Premium segments:
    • Arsenic-free baby rice
    • Organic fitness rice
  • Strong demand in Switzerland, EU & GCC countries.
  • A 20–40% premium markup on standard organic rice is realistic.

Impact & Investor Case

Impact

  • 🌊 1 kg of Hi-Rice saves ~2,500 liters of water (unbelievable but true, see certificate)
  • 🌍 1 kg of Hi-Rice saves ~3 kg of CO₂.
  • 🧪 Guaranteed arsenic-free <0.05 mg/kg.
  • 🔄 Zero-waste: own fertilizer, solar energy, cycles.

    Investor case

    • Access to high-growth markets: health food, baby food, pharmacies .
    • Differentiation: LCA data & certificates → hard ESG facts.
    • Premium strategy: 4 harvests per year = high scalability.

Roadmap & Growth

2025–26: Focus

  • Completion of LCA certification (Eaternity).
  • EU organic, CH organic, GlobalG.AP certificates.
  • Pilot sales in Coop, Migros, Aldi, health food stores.
  • Start of the organic fertilizer division.

2027+: Scaling

  • 1,000–3,000 ha in Thailand & Morocco.
  • GCC markets (premium rice).
  • Expansion of baby and diabetic rice → medically relevant food.
  • B Corp Certification → ESG Funds & Impact Investors.

Internal recommendations for strengthening

  1. Biofertilizer optimization: Documenting cycle balances, checking CO₂ certificates.
  2. Digital transparency: QR codes + blockchain for origin & CO₂.
  3. Social projects: Annual reports on trained farmers (e.g., “500 new farmers by 2026”).
  4. Extend the value chain: rice water (cosmetics), rice milk (food), rice bran (food supplement).
  5. SDG mapping:
    • SDG 2 “Zero Hunger”
    • SDG 6 “Clean Water”
    • SDG 13 “Climate Action”

Final result:
Hi-Rice combines two registered cultivation methods (Pot Method® & PureSoil Method®) that guarantee scalability, water and CO₂ savings, organic purity, and social responsibility.

👉 For investors: An ESG investment with global impact and clear premium returns.
